Terms of Use (EULA) for Echo Notes

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Echo Notes mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Echo Notes is a mobile application that allows you to:

  • Record audio meetings and conversations
  • Transcribe audio recordings using on-device AI technology
  • Generate AI-powered summaries, tags, and key points from transcriptions (Premium feature)
  • Organize and search your meeting transcriptions

3. Subscription Terms

Premium Subscription

  • Subscription Type: Auto-renewable weekly subscription
  • Subscription Title: Echo Notes Premium
  • Subscription Length: 1 week (7 days)
  • Auto-Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew every week unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Price: The subscription price is displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by region

Subscription Management

  • You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple App Store account settings
  • Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds will be provided for the current billing period

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Not use the App to record conversations without proper consent where required by law
  • Maintain the security of your device and account
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by Echo Notes and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Echo Notes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

8. Service Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part thereof at any time without notice.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms in the App. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App is provided, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Apple-Specific Terms

If you are using the App on an iOS device:

  • These Terms are between you and Echo Notes, not Apple
  • Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
  • Your use of the App must comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service
  • In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App to you
  • Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App
