1. Introduction

JustSell.it ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.

3. What Data We Collect

3.1. Account Data

When you sign in to the App using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Display name
  • Unique user identifier (UID)

This information is provided by the authentication provider (Google or Apple) and is stored in Firebase Authentication.

3.2. User Data

The App stores the following data in Firebase Firestore:

  • Credit balance (number of available listing credits) and credit expiration dates
  • Account creation date
  • In-app purchase history (transaction identifiers and purchase dates)

3.3. Photos

When you use the App to create a listing, you select photos from your device. These photos are:

  • Sent to our AI server for analysis and listing description generation
  • Not permanently stored on our servers - photos are processed in real-time and discarded after analysis is complete
  • Not stored in cloud storage - we do not use Firebase Storage or any other cloud storage for your photos

3.4. Generated Listings

AI-generated listing descriptions (titles, descriptions, categories, prices) are stored locally on your device as drafts. They are not stored on our servers.

3.5. Technical Data

The App collects the following technical data through Firebase services:

  • Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reports, device model, OS version, and stack traces to diagnose and fix app issues
  • Firebase Analytics: Anonymous usage data such as screen views and feature usage to improve the App experience

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide Core Functionality: Analyze your photos using AI and generate listing descriptions
  • Manage Credits: Track your credit balance and process credit purchases
  • Authenticate Users: Verify your identity through Google or Apple Sign-In
  • Improve the App: Analyze crash reports and usage patterns to fix bugs and improve features
  • Process Purchases: Verify in-app purchases through Apple App Store and Google Play Store

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1. Firebase Services

Account data and credit balances are stored in Firebase Firestore, hosted by Google Cloud Platform. Data is protected by Firebase's built-in security rules and encryption.

5.2. AI Server

Our AI server (hosted on Google Cloud Run) processes photos for listing generation. Photos are transmitted over HTTPS, processed in memory, and not retained after the response is sent.

5.3. Local Storage

Generated listings and drafts are stored locally on your device and are not synchronized to any cloud service.

5.4. Security Measures

  • All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
  • Firebase Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device
  • Firebase Security Rules restrict data access to authenticated users only
  • AI server endpoints require valid Firebase Authentication tokens

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Authentication (Google): For user sign-in and identity management
  • Firebase Firestore (Google): For storing user account data and credit balances
  • Firebase Crashlytics (Google): For crash reporting and diagnostics
  • Firebase Analytics (Google): For anonymous usage analytics
  • Google Cloud Run: For hosting our AI processing server
  • Google Gemini AI: For analyzing photos and generating listing descriptions (via our secure backend)
  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store: For processing in-app purchases

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Photos are processed through Google Gemini AI (via our backend server) to provide listing generation features
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction

8. Your Rights

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

  1. Access your data - You can view your account information and listings within the App
  2. Delete your data - You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us. Deleting the App removes all locally stored drafts
  3. Data portability - You can copy your generated listings from the App at any time
  4. Withdraw consent - You can revoke app permissions (camera, photo library) at any time in your device settings
  5. Restrict processing - You can stop using the App at any time to prevent further data processing

9. App Permissions

9.1. Camera

Purpose: To allow taking photos of items for listing creation.
When: Only when the user chooses to take a photo using the camera.

9.2. Photo Library

Purpose: To allow selecting photos from the device gallery for listing creation.
When: Only when the user chooses to select photos from the gallery.

All permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence (including the United States where Google Cloud services are hosted). These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. By using our App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

12. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Retained in Firebase as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time
  • Photos: Not retained - processed in real-time and immediately discarded
  • Crash Reports: Retained by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days
  • Analytics Data: Retained by Firebase Analytics according to Google's data retention policies
  • Local Drafts: Stored on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
