Privacy Policy - Zooli

App focus: pet health management, reminders, notes, and local-first privacy.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Zooli ("App", "We", "Us", "Our"). Zooli is a mobile application designed to help you manage your pet's health by allowing you to store information about your pets, track weight, save notes, and set reminders.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information and your pet's data when you use our application.

2. Data Controller

The data controller is the owner of the Zooli application. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us using the information provided in the "Contact" section below.

3. What Data We Collect

3.1. Pet Data

The App allows you to enter and store the following information about your pets:

  • Pet name
  • Breed
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Weight (weight entries with dates)
  • Pet photos
  • Health and care notes
  • Reminders (vaccinations, vet visits, medications, deworming)

3.2. User Data

The App stores the following data related to app usage:

  • App settings (interface language, measurement units)
  • Premium subscription status
  • In-app purchase information (processed by Apple/Google)

3.3. Technical Data

The App does NOT automatically collect technical data such as:

  • IP addresses
  • Device identifiers
  • GPS location
  • Analytics data

4. How We Store Data

4.1. Local Storage

All data is stored exclusively locally on your device. The App uses:

  • Hive Database - local database to store pet information, weights, notes, and reminders
  • Local file system - to store pet photos in the app's directory
  • SharedPreferences - to store app settings

4.2. No Data Transmission

The App does NOT transmit any data to external servers. All information remains on your device and is not synchronized with cloud services or other external services.

4.3. Data Deletion

You can delete all data at any time by:

  • Deleting the app from your device (which will remove all locally stored data)
  • Deleting individual pets or entries within the app

5. App Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

5.1. Camera

Purpose: To allow taking photos of pets directly in the app.
When: Only when the user chooses to take a photo using the camera.

5.2. Photo Library

Purpose: To allow selecting pet photos from the device gallery.
When: Only when the user chooses to select a photo from the gallery.

5.3. Notifications

Purpose: To send reminders about important pet health events (vaccinations, vet visits, medications).
When: When the user sets a reminder in the app.

5.4. Calendar (Optional)

Purpose: To synchronize reminders with the device calendar.
When: Only when the user consents to calendar synchronization.

All permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

6. Third-Party Services

6.1. In-App Purchases

The App uses:

  • Apple StoreKit (iOS) - to process premium purchases
  • Google Play Billing (Android) - to process premium purchases

Purchase information is processed by Apple/Google according to their privacy policies. We do not have access to detailed payment information.

6.2. No Other Third-Party Services

The App does NOT use:

  • Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
  • Advertising services
  • Tracking services
  • Cloud synchronization services
  • External databases

7. Data Security

7.1. Local Protection

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

  • Data is protected by your device's operating system security
  • We recommend using screen lock (PIN, password, biometrics) on your device
  • Data is not accessible to other apps (except for permissions you explicitly grant)

7.2. No Data Transmission

Since the App does not transmit data to external servers, there is no risk of data breach during transmission.

8. Your Rights

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data protection laws, you have the right to:

  1. Access your data - You can view all data in the app
  2. Delete your data - You can delete data at any time by deleting the app or individual entries
  3. Data portability - Since data is stored locally, you can export it through device backup
  4. Withdraw consent - You can revoke app permissions at any time in your device settings

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and know that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove that information.

10. Changes to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of any significant changes through:

  • App updates in the App Store/Google Play
  • In-app notifications (for significant changes)

We recommend reviewing this Privacy Policy regularly. The last update date is shown at the beginning of this document.
